Chrissy, I hate to admit but it’s been a year and I forgot the thickness. I’m almost positive it was 3″. I gave it to some friends and I’ll see if I can have them measure it for us. ok?
how thick is this?
Thanks for replying. Memory Foam. I think Memory Foam is a good invention. I did buy that Memory Foam that you got there. We like it.
p.s. I love Costco.
Another thing I noticed when in Wal-Mart was that some were called 3 inch memory foam toppers that only had 1 1/2″ of memory foam and then just polyfoam for the other 1 1/2″ so you have to be very careful about the labeling and read it all.
That’s so weird, I had went to Wal-Mart and filmed a short video on this very subject. I noticed that the box called them by king, queen, etc but upon examination of the sizes listed some were 8 inches shorter and 8 inches narrower than a standard king or queen.
I was going to make a video and post it here but my wife’s computer blew up and I am still waiting to get it replaced.
Thanks for the “heads up.”
Actually, I find that most of the quality memory foam has no detectable odor. If it has it initially, it will normally dissipate within a day or two.
A lot of the Chinese foam will have pungent odors that last indefinitely. That’s why I recommend American Made foam.
I got mine from Wal-Mart. It’s so comfy!
All right, I did it, I put a 4 lb. memory foam topper onto a Tempur-Pedic Classic Queen Mattress that our guests used to complain was too hard.
Wow, everyone’s loving it now.
I never would have thought of doing this is you hadn’t mentioned it. Thanks.
The problem is in finding an American Manufacturer that can produce more than a 4 lb. density topper without the cost being prohibitive to most people.
For instance, Tempur_Pedic’s 5.3 lb. topper, in a Queen is around $900.
Google for Protect-a-Bed, they have a great mattress protector which not only protects your mattress and topper but sleeps cool as well.
sorry to keep bothering you I decided on a Serta Ultimate 4-inch Memory Foam Mattress Topper that is 4 pound density..what do I cover it with no one seems to sell anything? Just my fitted sheet ? thanks for your help
Thanks for responding Holy Schmoly that is way too expensive.. I paid a ton for my latex mattress that is giving me a horrible back ache would love to have a decent topper …Serta has some but they are only 2.something
PB4hand, the best topper I know of, at this time, is the Tempur-Pedic topper.
Bad thing is that it’s about as expensive as a new mattress. Last time I checked, the topper was about $900.
It’s a 3″ topper 5.3#.
I’ll keep checking for you and if I find another one similar, I’ll let you know, ok?
Chuck
Help I have been searching the web for 30 minutes for a 5.9 pound 4″ inch thick topper who makes one I want the best but who sells it?
Can I use this on a latex mattress? Is there a topper you give 10 out of 10 to? thanks
damn. so true
what do you have underneath that foam mattress?
you must have more boring week for watching this video for no purpose.
wow. must have been a boring week.
I have a Belly Button
shoot yourself
sounds good!
Not at this time. I think Tempur-Pedics 3″ topper might be one of the best choices but have never tried one.
I tried contacting another manufacturer that makes a 5.3lb memory foam topper but haven’t heard back yet.
I’ll post something when I hear from them, ok?
