| I bought this mattress (queen size) about a month ago and I love it! It is incredibly comfortable for me and molds well to my body. It initially had a slight chemical smell, but it's dissipated to the point where I don't smell anything anymore. On my old mattress, I found any position other than on my stomach uncomfortable, but I've comfortably slept on my side and back with this one. My only complaint is that it retains heat more than normal mattresses, but that just means I don't need to pull the covers up as much. The bamboo cover that came with the mattress is very nice and it fits perfectly. I've also slept on Tempur-Pedic mattresses and I think this is just as good at 30% of the price. |

I did a lot of research on memory foam mattresses, including Tempur-Pedic mattresses starting at $2000 for a queen. This one cost 1/4 that price and I think is just as good. Made in USA, Foamex is a leader in memory foam technology. There are a lot of cheaper-made Chinese imports out there, which I suspect are inferior.
Ships in a heavy vacuum packed plastic wrapping inside a large cardboard box. Once I unwrapped it, it seemed too small for my frame, but within 24 hours it filled the frame just right and expanded to dimensions listed on Amazon. I noticed only the slightest smell for the first day, which disappeared quickly. Cover is very good quality stretch fabric, with a zipper along the bottom for easy removal and cleaning.
This mattress rocks! I've noticed I don't toss and turn as much as I did with my old inner spring mattress, and don't wake up during the night. It's a slight bit firmer than I thought it would be, but still totally comfortable.

No more numb arms, aching back, or sore joints

Boy, I wish I had purchased this mattress a long time ago. Could have saved myself a lot of restless nights due to the numb arms, and sore joints I got from my old traditional mattress. (Which was probably ready for the mattress boneyard three years ago!)
I won't recap the other reviews, except to say that I agree with them: It's a great mattress! There is a slight odor which dissipates, but it was never very strong to begin with (all new things have a smell, anyway, don't they?). It was a bit worrisome to open the smallish box and put it on our bed frame, though, because it starts out much smaller than you'd think (it fluffs up to it's full size on its own in just a couple of hours).
What I did notice is that the bed was firmer than I'd thought it would be -- which turns out to be a real plus for somebody like me with back and joint problems. I was actually worried when I ordered it that it would be way too soft & I'd feel trapped and smothered and hot and sweaty, but nothing could be further from the case. It's firm, yet resilient in a way I've never experienced on a traditional spring mattress. And it doesn't move around when me or the ball-and-chain (who also loves it!) have to get up in the middle of the night.
The best part? Going to Tempurpedic's site & noting that I would have had to pay more than $2K for their brand... instead, for less than $700 we're finally sleeping in memory-foam luxury!
